Pros & Cons
Cons
The rubber used to make the rubber seal is brittle (not pliable) that tears when attempted to slid on the bolt. But it still leaks significantly. Fel-pro has bad quality control!
It drips down off my axles, exhaust system, and brush guards. After test drive at highway speeds found significant oil splashed onto back of engine area at the intake hose/egr. Without inspection this could have easily caused an engine fire, so buyer ... Read More

Very swift shipping item just as advertised
Packaging/appearance
Was easy to install and still no leaks nearly a thousand miles later
This was very hard and if you dont want to risk ruining the screw you can reuse the old grommets in the screws
Remember to wipe the lubricant oil after you fit the cover in place

A few problemsafter 15 years and 220k miles the old gasket got cooked into the groove and hardened into plasticlike substance and refused to come off

Please be careful and dont pry it with sharpened tools

It took two full hours inch by inch to get the old gasket off cleanly

The groove needs to be clean of old gasket or oily dirt for the new gasket to work well

If you dont think you can do that you can hire someone else to do it because once you start you will have to finish it or oil will be leaking all over the engine and may cause a fire when you drive a car dripping with oil

Again once you cut out the old grommet the new grommet will have to be forced through the stopper
