Quality
I am using it with a canon xa30 video camera and am really impressed with the results
The quality of the picture is outstanding the mount is perfect also
Others have been watching me film with this monitor on my steadicam and cant believe the quality of the picture
The monitor does not shut down completely with the onoff button
Price
Also very lightweight so mounting it to a hotshoe is not an issue

Competitiveness
I use the shorter mount on my hotshoe and it works great holding the monitor in place
Many have said its better than their much more expensive units
Only down side the shoe mount that comes with a ballhead attachment which you mount the screen to is of low quality
For the price its probably the best you can get on the market

I like it but some surprises the functionality and image quality of the display is excellent but surprise it does not come with a power supply

Another surprise it has audio speakerheadphone jack which is turned all the way up by default so be prepared for loud feedback even with headphones
