Pro:phenomenal at showing me how to change negative thoughts about myself. This is the book to train your emotions to work for you instead of against you. Emotional reasoning is the art of thinking with emotion in mind.

The book is written so empathically and with immense compassion. This book is yet again a lifesaver. Nothing wrong with the kindle version, sometimes you just want a physical book to hold.

David burns shows us the cognitive distortions that make our lives miserable. He also shows us how to burn them out.

If an average person reads his book, does the homework, they will get well. The charts in the beginning are great self evaluation tools. Once you read through it once, then it should be used as a manual.

    Highly recommend finding a therapist who uses this theory if you want to get really really clear and move forward and not just talk for yearsnot that talk therapy doesnt have its place
