Pros

Two external drives plugged into a separate pcie card. Usb 3. Usb 2. Gb per minute is a great speed improvement. I can easily make transfers from my desktop ssd to my portable ssd while i run multiple portable apps without hickups.

Usb is digital, so it's the connector catching interference that's the enemy. Using the usb ports for the camera and multi directional microphone that is being used for zoom meetings.

This is perfect if you run a usb hub or have a dac or sound card picking up hiss. Not a costly upgrade. Highly recommended upgrade for a machine with only usb 2.

Cons

Very frustrating. It's possible that i have just got a lemon unit. Just don't expect any blinding speed.

Continuous recognized drive and disconnect. Multiple reboots and attempts and nothing. Un-installed and re-installed many times.
