The downsides ive run into so far are if you are a largerbodied person or your chest takes up a not insignificant amount of room the crosschest strap will not work for you even at max extension

Id gladly pay a small upcharge to have these adjustment loops as trying to grip the material and pull is made difficult when you do not have full range of motion of your fingers for any number of reasons
