Pros

Fatmat is top notch deadened at bargain pricing. Sticks and molds perfectly. This stuff is every bit as good as the way overpriced dynamat brand name.

Everything was cleaned w alcohol before installing, and rolled on with alot of pressure. The sticky side is easy to install. Comes with knife to cut sections.

The aluminum layer is sharp! The cabin is quieter. Takes out a lot of higher pitched frequency sound and gives everything a bit more bass. Makes bus walls a little more sturdy.

Used 100 sq ft to do my 2012 xterra. I swear, this mod is the first thing i'm going to do with every car i get from now on. Big box store insulation used in autos smells.

Cons

Thermo-tec 147xx series sound deadener/insulation is not up to par. The rubber compound (asphalt) is not for high temperature situations. The fatmat version is thinner than 3m double sided tape. Smells of asphalt and seems to be unsafe due to toxicity... Read More
