I like how fast the readout comes with audible sound when ready i have no problem hearing the tone i had read that the readout is not lit so if someone wants to be able to read it at night without turning on a light you cannot

The only reason im giving it four stars instead of 5 is because it doesnt light up to show a temperature

I can only think of one complaint that is that it beeps i like knowing that its done with the temp but it can be quite annoying if using with a light sleeper of a child

So far it works well and quickly its a nice size and the digital display is big enough to read but it is not lit so it cannot be read in the dark

When placed under the tongue you only have to hold it for about 30 seconds and then it gives a repeating beep sound indicating that you can now read the temperature

It also can switch to celsius and has an auto shut off so the battery wont get run down if you forget to turn it off
