Pros & Cons

Pros

The coffee from this pot is just as good as my old plastic drip machine made, but this one makes it much hotter. Compared to the moka pot, the brew is not quite as rich, but there is also way less sediment in the cup and it comes out hotter.

This percolater is so simple to use and clean. It makes the perfect amount to fill my travel mug. The design of this amazing percolator has not changed at all.

Small and portable for a boat or rv. Cleanup is a couple more steps, but really isn't too big a hassle. Easy to use and easy to clean up.

Cons

After less than 3 months, it has stopped perking the coffee enough to make that rich brew that is so wonderful. This percolator only holds 8 cups of water before it is up to the max line for brewing coffee.

This one is noticably cheaper manufacturing. The first order - the stainless steel on the outside was scratched/marred. Even though it says stainless steel, it is a very cheap stainless.

Big waste of money. Totally misleading. That is ridiculous. Nice try.

Brew is good and pot looks as good as new after 14 years use

Plastic is a terrible petroleum product that takes eons to break down

After the two year mark the coffee does not taste good and then one day when you plug it in it will not work

Price

No additional costs for filters or special pods are needed either

Coffee is less costly than pods with more variety including fresh grounds

Competitiveness

Percolated coffee taste is soooo much better than single serve makers

Last longer than other percolator type coffee makers

I thought the west bend was better engineered built however and i think the high price for this faberware is because they know ...  Read More

I thought the west bend was better engineered built however and i think the high price for this faberware is because they know they have the market cornered when it comes to all stainless steel
