Pros & Cons
Pros
commercial remodel contractor, 10 yrs as a plumber. Lightweight yet quality parts made for easy install. Solves a lot of hard to condition problems.

It starts and runs smoothly and quietly. On full throttle it puts out a little noise but that's to be expected. Since it's actually 4-5 feet from the vent in the bathroom it's even quieter.
Did a diy exhaust fan for basement. No more musty, moldy odor in my basement. booster fan on a 6 heat run to 2nd floor.
Cons
Called fantech multiple times, routed to tech support voicemail. Broke within 6 months. Fantech only sells to certified distributors, so if you get a dud like i did, you might be out $140 bucks.
Sounds like a ball bearing went. It is pristine but now sounds like a vacuum cleaner. The bearings are not sealed and will start to whine after about a month of use in exterior applications.
