While i haven’t installed this yet i am very impressed with the quality so far
This is a very nice quality damper
I mounted mine horizontally with the flapper joint standing vertical with a 100 cfm booster fan and it is working fine
Working flawlessly as far as im aware
Packaging/appearance
Put it in after the fan but the holes leak on the sides so it blows smoke out

My issue prior to installation is that no oneincluding the manufacturer defines the meaning of terms like installing in the horizontal or vertical direction until you first define whether those directions refer to the axis of the hinge pin or the axis of the duct into which it is being installed

Until that matter is made clear the current information is ambiguous and left to the users choice

On another matter the manufacturers installation is unclear as to a best location in the vent line being closest to the air source or the exhaust port into free air

Installed one each of these at the exhaust of two dryers which share a common duct to the outside

Before that you could smell the exhaust air from one dryer in the room of the second dryer and vice versa when one of the dryers was running
