Its sensor is located in usb socket so if your plug is not accessible you can not use remote easily because if there is an obstacle between remote and sensor remote wont work

When i received these lights they come in small box the label said 200 led so thought they had sent wrong item quickly asked to be returned

Although once done as the leds are on thin metal wire you can hardly see them until you power on the lights

I found the remote control not very easy to use so i used the button on the usb part that you plug in
