It's been getting better ever since with upgrades and free add-ons. Benefits from a more cautious and patient play style (unlike fallout 4) fallout first (if you can afford it) certainly helps as well.

I originally bought the game on preorder on amazon actually and was pretty disgusted at what bethesda has created buggy devoid of new ideas and obviously unfinished

Lots of irritating features in this game but if you can get past the constant hunger thirst and other players attacking you this can be an enjoyable game
