Pros & Cons
Pros
When repairing a puncture, dip a round toothpick in some crazy glue. If so, string tie 1/2 from the end with a knot and good to go.
It's the go to product for electrical coverage and for making sure moisture is prevented from getting into the wiring where there are two or more wires spliced together. It keeps the rain from shorting the connectors and withstands high temperatures.
Was sceptical, but had nothing to lose. Should be in every homeowners emergency kit. Directed by word of mouth and intuition on use.
Cons
The water still leaks right through the seams on the tape, and i even double wrapped it. You have to stretch and keep it stretched while wrapping to activate it. It’s definitely thinner than other similar self-fusing silicone tape i’ve purchased.
In my opinion all the positive reviews are unwarranted. This role of tape is no good. Does not fuse to itself. Whoever is fulfilling the orders for this company is totally incompetent.
Highlights
Quality
This product has good elasticity and strength
I really appreciate the ability to easily adjust the stretch tension to get the type of bond and strength i want for the job
Leak in the watering system have applied tape twice now have to wait for area to dry as we got rain last night
That means the antifreeze leaked and the engine overheated
Price
Not cheap but so happy to have it back in my tool box
Shipping
Ordered the part but delivery took 2 weeks so i found this tape to fix it until the part arrives
Packaging/appearance
It says on the packaging that you get best results when the tape is stretched
Ill be wrapping this on the ends of black electrical cables to mark the positives as red
Competitiveness
This tape works as well as the f4 centerlinetape i used when i was working on rf4cjets in the usaf in thailand
By the way the company touts this product as 34better than duct tape34 and i think they should add electrical tape to the compa... Read More
However its probably more than what an electrical contractor needs and much more costly

Plumber was able to replace all the other pex pipe in the wall but this tiny 1 1234 part was in the foundation and we all decided to take the chance by taping it

I do not trust this stuff for enclosed plumbing connections but for any where it is available for inspection it is terrific
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
It requires room to be able to wrap the tape neatly and tightly around the leaking joint
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Also you would be wise to use multiple wraps and overlap the joint by several inches in both directions

But if you do it works pretty good

I attempted to just tighten a joint to my water heater in the garage but could not get it to stop leaking
