Pros
Works as advertised. No muss, no fuss. Works as expected.
Proethernet eliminates the reliance on wifi. It pings a specified ip address and cycles power to the outlet if the ping fails. It allows you to turn on radio equipment remotely, and therefore operate remotely.
Great product. Very reliable. Rock solid since june 2018. The item is good quality and able to work as described.
Bought to reboot a wireless router remotely. Automatically resets our cable modem/router when the internet drops. Installation is simple, a few minutes.
Ezoutlet2 solves the problem of losing your internet connection periodically.
Cons
When i cycle the router manually everything reconnects. If you cannot sign up for an account, this device is worthless.

But when not if that happens i will update my review if the product fails to work
It was most annoying when no one was home and wed lose connectivity for the iot stuff like cameras and security system
I was having continual problems with the dsl at my cabin going out

I had issues connecting the mobile app to the weber but now it consistently connects to monitor and control the device

You dont need the app to set this device up if you are little tech savvy and can figure out the ip address of this device via dhcp logs or scanning your network then you simply use a web browser to log in and configure the device

But this is a simple device and is on ethernet so not dealing with wifi passwords and settings

Also being simple it proxies easily so you can secure it behind a reverse proxy and control and secure it via the reverse proxy

I have gone as far as removing the default gateway from the device spoofing dns so it can use an internal time server and proxy it to aws for your control

Or you can tie it in to a more robust monitoring service like nagios and have it reboot you device

Although the attack surface is just http it is clear text so i would not trust this device on the internet
