This item gives me plenty of front usb ports and a card reader along with audio jacks for headphone. If you have a case where spring clips latch a 5. Audio port already on motherboard so wasn't needed.

Rather than an in-line splitter connected to a pin block, or even an onboard splitter for that matter, each usb3.
