This slicer did work but not quite as easily as advertised

When sliced as directed it did cut through the middle part of the melon easily but the ends were difficult to maneuver

The cubes were a bit uneven on the edges but since the slicer made the cubes faster than with a knife i added a star

The only trouble is if you have arthritis or any troubles with your hands you might not like it
