One small sideeffect of them being polarised is that i can see the screen of my smartphone camera when held for portrait photographs but the screen looks blank when the phone is held for landscape wide angle photos

A perfectly good polarised flipup which i use for driving and which cuts the glare down superbly without losing much in the way of vision otherwise
