This can get very messy because it’s flimsy and sometimes tilting the basket can cause water to splash too much getting it everywhere

It comes with a harness that is attached to the tub but i don’t use it because for me it gets in the way and my dog doesn’t move around

If your dog moves a lot then the harness would be good for you

The cats in theory would work the same way but we have an understanding if its not an emergency they do not have to get in the water
