Pros & Cons
Pros
This bracket puts the tire out of harms way as well as giving the boat hull adequate clearance. Leaves plenty of clearance for the boat. Keeps the spare away from boat to protect the hull.
Product perfect fit for trailer and my sx195 yamaha jet boat. Plenty of clearance on my 1999 lund angler 1700 on a shorelandr trailer.
Use powerful impact and impact lug nut on without rim on to pull stud in. Only issue is if you have a 6 lug wheel like me, you will have to change the bolt pattern. Came with 2 different sizes of u bolts and installed easy.
The quality of workmanship is superb. It's well made, very sturdy.
Cons
One of the lug nut thread is striped. Must be only for a v-hull. Emailed manufacturer for warranty, still no reply few days later.
Highlights
Quality
I was impressed with the quality and heavy weight materials used
Will update if i have any issues with quality
Found a similar one on another website but it cost 3x as much and looks to be almost exactly the same product
Price
Looked all over locally and couldn’t get me near this price
Competitiveness
Used on the trailer of my 2016 yamaha sx190
Seems to be the same as shorelandr factory original at half the price

This is a very beefy design with the studs attached to the carrier vs others that use loose bolts
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I searched high and low for a spare tire carrier that would give me a nice wide offset away from my boat and high enough to not allow my tire to hit the ground while on my trailer

I only had 12” between the hull and the tire

I dinged it one star because it came with 3 studs installed but not on the most common size 5 on 4 12” so right away you’ve created an invitation for corrosion after removing the studs

Second complaint is that while 3 studs are supplied there is only one position that works for 4 12” circle

It’s plenty for a spare tire but in the age of technology it isn’t that hard to get a bolt pattern right
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
I removed the bolts to reposition and had to hammer them back in
