The trick of opening one side with a knife usually works but it also bends the lid not ideal if i want to reuse jar and lid

So far have not found a lid i could not open with this device and a minimum amount of elbow grease due the variety of toothed openings

It does have a design flaw the hinge that links the two halves of the device appears to be a single plastic rivet that is simply not strong enough to keep the jaws together for any length of time

Ill probably have to drill it out and add a more serious screw and lock nut sometime soon
