The handle is flimsy plastic and the telescoping pieces are barely held together. If a super lightweight item is on the fork--like a marshmallow--it's fine.

They would make a great gift as they also come in a neat zippered pouch

They are not great for roasting two marshmallows at once though because the prongs are too close together
