Works great but spend a few minuets playing with the adjustment before you trust this thing

I first used the dv25 when it came as part of a kit that included an extech dmm the dv25 impressed me with great sensitivity reliability
These extech units are good for interior use detecting through sheetrock walls etc
I am remodeling and thought i could use this extech dv23 voltage detector

The only complaint i have is that after i drop them several times the battery compartment will come unhinged and i have to reassemble it

This is a simple tool with a simple use it is designed to touch any electrical device connected to a supposedly live wire itself and see if that device or wire is live and still powered up or not by using a red flashing light on the tip and an alarm buzz for an audio warning

Beware if you are in rf flooded enviroments it can easily latch on to those signals
