Pros
This thermometer is equivalent to a core temperature, which is great. Exergen thermometers work quickly and are accurate, unlike the non-contact thermal guns that are in vogue these days.
Cons
Instructions are ambiguous. There is one button which apparently allows for different functions (like assigning each family member a number and then saving their temperatures to that number) the head is at a weird angle and it’s has an awkward grip.

I would have loved to have given this thermometer a 5star rating but found that the cost of it is nearly twice what consumer report listed it at obviously due to pandemic and also the removal of the base housing the battery that is included is initially difficult to achieve
