Pros

The camera and spare tire mounting bracket all look like to be quality. It mounting to the spare wheel is great, although you will need to be careful while putting the spare back on so you won't scrape it.

The wiring harness has the ability to tap into power at the front near the radio or in the rear. There’s a red wire that comes out of the rca plug which connects to the head unit via supplied adapter. Jeep wranglers have a reverse signal wire in their...  Read More

Obd2 scanner can be used with the jscan app to enable rear backup camera on the factory 430n stereo. You need a license to upgrade the radio to enable the backup camera.

Red/blk power leads at either end of the camera cable to power the camera for a quick test. Unplug and place some painters tape over the camera lens to protect it. Tape up the other unused wires to prevent any chance of a short later on.

The sahara has a little more plastic trim in the back, so that complicates things just a little bit. Works great in my 2014 wrangler jk. My 2016 wrangler sahara has the stock aluminum wheels and the stock touch radio with navigation.

Cons

The camera is faulty. Installation is a big gamble. The instructions are very poor.

I definitely wanted to make sure no wiring was visible to keep the factory oem look

Whichever method you chose just tape up and tuck away the connectors on the opposite end

I figured there may be less of a delay probably not even enough to be measurable though when bringing up the camera feed if the camera already had power from the vehicle being on compared to if power was supplied when reverse was initiated

Testing the camera to make sure it worked taping the cig lighter wires running the wires from front to back installing the camera and putting back all the trim the whole process from start to finish took around 2 hours and only set me back around 100

My jeep was not equipped with a backup camera
