Wording here is tricky but essentially i figured out that if you push the strip all the way into the connector until it stops it sometimes wound up where the pins on the connector were too far forward on the led strip to make contact with the pads

Even if you are great with a soldering iron its just not worth the time for how little these connectors cost

The strands tease apart cleanly the insulation strips easily and there were no continuity issues

Nearly all the applications for led strips involve corners which the flimsy adhesive on the strip back can never handle

If you force the strip into the corner it may be okay for a bit but within hours the kink in the strip will begin to separate from the corner
