Pros & Cons
Pros
This blade is really great on steel lager than an 1 inch. My only gripe is that i only get an average of 1,100 cuts on 2”x2” x 1/8” wall square tube per blade. I have an evolution compound sliding miter saw and these are difficult to find blades for.
This thing absolutely rocks on stainless tubing. Used to cut 2 x 1 stainless tubular for railings. Used for cutting steel in a fabrication shop.
Cons
Backed off at the first sign of chatter. Not worth half the price. Very disappointing and dissatisfied. Will never buy another from makita.
Cut great at first, but dulled quickly. Worked great for 36 ft of 16 ga steel, then abruptly stopped cutting. Still cuts but melts the steel.
Also has 20mm arbor, had to order a separate 20mm to 5/8 arbor adapter to even use it, buy a different blade. Went back to original chop saw blade.
Highlights
Quality
On the right side is a cut with the evolution blade
I use this on my makita track saw just turn over the inside washer to use this 58 arbor size very pleased
Competitiveness
But these are more fragile than you’d expect for heavy shop use
