I managed to detach one by using a pry bar for leverage but it was difficult to say the least

I had to use a 12thick wood board to help place the magnets where i wanted them because otherwise they practically jerk themselves out of my hand and clamp on whereever of course not where i want and i cant slide them without the board preventing them from fully attaching
