The head component which is the part the filter screws into looks like about 5 worth of aluminum

It is nicely cast and appeared to be of high quality but considering the price of the filter system everpure is charging about 175 for this small piece

I contacted amazon and they promptly replaced the entire unit

Instead you have to either turn off the water supply under your sink or flip the lever on the head
