Pros

These are tough blankets that will last a very long time and will perform very well under the harshest conditions and harshest treatment. The blanket has some heft to it, which is desirable. This blanket is perfect.

It's very heavy, which is a good thing. It is also a very good size, i'm 6ft tall and i have plenty of room to roll over.

Wool is unique in that it has the potential to produce hydrogen cyanide gas during combustion. Clean your lint trap in the dryer frequently. As for the smell, well - it's there - but not nearly as bad as some posters make it out to be.



Cons

This blanket is not only the foulest smelling blanket, but the amount of lint that comes off of it is also the worst of anything i have ever dried before. It smells like it's been soaked in diesel fuel, except worse.

I let it sit outside in the rain and sun for a couple weeks which dampened the pungency. After 3 washes, they still shed balls of lint, and still had an oil smell.

    The blanket smelled funky i washed and tumbled blanket well in the washer it looked like the blanket shed a couple poundsfibers everywhere then into the dryer on air only couldnt tumble it the filter kept filling up so hung it on the line outside to dry

    Wash it in cold water and when you dry it expect it to shed a lot the first couple of times
