I did find that the straps are a little hard to tighten but with evenflo seats that seems to be the way of things until they are broke in

Evenflo does not pack all their seats with styrofoam so no it will not have it in the box

It has about the same footprint as the triumph in my car which certainly isnt small but doesnt make the front passenger seat unusable
