Pros & Cons

Pros

Drum mute is really amazing. Works great for 10 year old student drummer to keep volume down. Similar to what you might hear on a hip-hop or electronic album.

I love them and my roomate doesnt mind them says he can barely hear a muffled sound mostly the bass drum. I wish it was a bit quieter. Cut the volume down to a very reasonable level.

These dampeners do their job for the most part. The only thing i couldn't rate highly is the durability.

The masonite pads muffle the volume really well, while keeping a good stick feel. The muffling effect is just what was needed to allow me to practice even with others in the house.

Cons

Jesus crist that smell! This is very weird. Very dissatisfied. Not sure whether to blame evans, brooks mays (the retailer) or the post office.

The kick drum mute is pure garbage. The glue starts to deteriorate and the padding is extremely fragile. The bass drum pad is overly complex and basically a piece of junk. Someone with higher end cymbals would definitely be pulling their hair out.

You can only deaden the sound so much so i understand peoples frustrations when they expect it to be dead silent

Im using them on a crush acrylic series kit and ive replaced the snare with an evans 12 real feel practice pad and the kick with a gibralter gbdp bass drum pad
