Pros
On shortwave, this radio does a fantastic job. I wish it had a more powerful amplifier. I like the treble and bass controls, and the speaker has a pleasing sound.
Am sync is great. Reception on mw and fm are very good, crisp and clear.

The radio is perfectly heavy and it truly feels like a desktop radio. It has a pleather or leather carrying handle on top. I know that the radio has its shortcomings, but so do all radios.
The satellite elite looks good, has a quality build, and a lot of functionality. It works well, but had a couple of drawbacks in my opinion. I am only using this radio with the screen is amazing.
Cons
I hate to be that harsh but this is the worst piece of product i've encountered in well over 2 years. This 40 year old radio * as bad today as when it was made by tecsun back in the 90’s. This is ridiculous on a radio of this category.
Audio quality is *awful*. Speaker distorts with any bass at all, high end is anemic. Zero low end bass with an ear piercing top end sound. Bandwidth was really excessive for medium wave reception.
While the paperwork claims a one-year warranty, a so-called'return window' closes after just a few months. After that, a 20%'restocking fee' is charged. Thirdly eton customerservice is nonexistent.
Display is cool, but only really readable on green. Menus is fiddly. Battery compartment is super awkward in the front. The specs and feature list is impressive but in the end those are just numbers on a piece of paper.
It is very annoying when just scrolling through the bands. This goes right back to pausing instead of just saving a scan and letting you scroll back through the signals.

The sound may not be as good as the tecsun pl880 but i have found in my particular radio that the sensitivity on the mw band is slightly only slightly better than the pl880

This is a very nice radio with excellent reception in am and fm but i dont really mess with the short wave aspect
