Gate must be in a zig zag to balance. Some reviewers wished for panels that would fold either way. Only issue with the gate is that it doesn't have double hinges.
Cons
Super flimsy. Sticky and still has old dog hair on it. I have a tiny 4 pound puppy who was able to jump right over this gate.

My stairs dont have walls up the sides so i couldnt use a tension gate

I wouldnt recommend it for blocking a dog or baby that will pull push or stand up on it because it will definitely fall over easily
