I buy all my coffee at a local coffee house that does coffee right. But it's $22 a pound and lately they've been out of the varieties I like a couple of times, so I started looking for coffee on Amazon.The point is this - I'm extremely picky about my coffee and I'm used to drinking coffee that is roasted properly and displays the characteristics of the variety. Natural Sidamo is one of my favorites and I was happy to find it on Amazon at a great price and with great reviews. But honestly, I still expected to be disappointed.When the coffee arrived, I was actually a bit hesitant to open the bag and look at the beans because I expected to see over-roasted, oily beans. To my delight, the roast was great - many light brown along with some darker brown beans, all with a nice dry look to them.The aroma of the beans was nice too - a bit different than I'm used to but that's to be expected with the natural curing process.Of course the real test was the first cup and it was wonderful. As I write this, I'm still shocked that I'm drinking this fine a cup of coffee for $8 a pound.To be fair, it is a lower grade bean than I get at the coffee house for $22 a pound, but the roaster is up front about that in the description.The lower grade bean just means that the beans are not of uniform size (many are smaller) which makes it harder to get a consistent roast, but the roaster has done as well as they could with the varying size of the beans and I'm honestly not sure I'd be able tell which was which in a side by side taste test of this next to the $22 a pound stuff I'm used to.I don't write many reviews, but this warranted one.If you know good coffee and you're wondering if you've really found great coffee for $8 a pound, you have and this is it.Well done Green Dragon Coffee House and RhoadsRoast Coffees!  Read Less
