I was hesitant to use soap because i was always taught that was a big no no with cast iron but the directions say you can run the pans through the dishwasher so i figured a little mild dish soap and a sponge probably wouldnt hurt it

The middle of the pan is grooved and convexly sloped such that any sort of dripping grease is channeled away from the food

Now and then id come across a kitchen that had a builtin smokefree grill which i thought was the cats meow

The convexbased pan makes all the difference assuming youre going to use it indoors it would work fine outdoors as well say on your gas grill pour a little bit of water in the outside groove of the pan where the side meets the bottom

My friend has the same cast iron and would not shut up about it told me that i had to get one too

Also it recommends handwashing because over time the dishwasher soap could affect the finish
