I used this in conjunction with the husky mounts 200 x 200 vesa adapter kit purchased here at amazon
Ultimately returned as i decided to go another way but the item itself is very sturdy and made of good quality materials
The other end of the ergotron i mounted to an echogear full motion articulating tv bracket also purchased from amazon

Seems sturdy enough once clipped on though it should be noted if you are constantly clipping and unclipping you may wear it down as the clip itself is plastic but the thing your monitor is screwed onto and the thing that it rests on is all metal

If it were to break off the biggest risk would be that your monitor might slip off if you were to rotate it upside down so i dont think this should be a deciding factor

If youre looking for something super easy to constantly clip and unclip your monitors this is probably not the best buy for you
