Make sure desired length matches up with the holes on the bottom of the desktop you receive
The desk top assembly is last step but if you put together and dont match up holes you get to unscrew and unassemble to fit
Please note instructions tell you to adjust metal bar width to desired length
I would give more stars if it werent for the fact it wasted my time assembling
