Pros & Cons
Pros
The equadose is the best pill cutter i have ever tried. It's sharp and precise. The only negative is that tablets are centered by eye.
The equadose pill splitter is a little pricy but after wasting 6 very expensive pills on the drugstore brand splitter, it’s really a bargain! It's metal with an acrylic cover, and extremely sturdy. Shannon & tyson triplett, thank you for making my... Read More
Cons
The amazon pill cutter is not only difficult to use, but it is not accurate and doesn't do a good job at cutting. The angled approach allows your tablet much easier to slip and give you uneven cutting. It also is not able to cut extremely hard tablets... Read More

Highlights
Quality
I am so very happy with how it works.
I put a small bearing underneath a longer hex screw in order to maintain exact tension between the two cutting edges, and i did... Read More
I took one star away because i found that very small pills still break into pieces with this product.
Price
If the cost is agreeable to you, i highly recommend this cutter and do not believe you will be disappointed!
The price is all in the metal: solid and substantial.
Competitiveness
It worked best for me when placing a 20mg round pill perfectly in the center and slowly applying pressure to split the pill.
I like that it is a small company and made in the usa.
The blades get sharp (enough) at their points and shouldn't dull with normal (and intended) use.

Doing this also prevents the hex screw from backing out because it rides on the inner race of the bearing instead of both races at the same time.

There was a review where someone explained that one of the cutting edges busted, and the only way i can imagine that happened, is because one of the cutting edges were milled longer than the other and when they contacted (which they should not) it busted one of the cutting edges.

The pharmacy was no help and basically you had to figure out how to split it yourself the best you could.

After you make your first cut and see how it works you will be hooked.

I thought it was rather expensive, but it turns out to be worth the money.

The only negative for me about this product is that tablets are centered by eye and if you have poor eyesight or dexterity, it can make it difficult to get equal halves.

The halves are very close in size and there is only minimal, if any, crumbling.
