The locking mechanism to keep it closed is extremely hard to open but once it is open it can move in full 360 range unlike the spring loaded trainers that make it remain vertical
As the pivots become less stiffabout 2 hrs of openings the vertical give in them becomes too much causing the handles to have friction with the blade and thus the same problem of inconsistency
