Both seem to work the same - they turn into a gas directly to fumigate whatever's nearby. These moth balls work great in our insect cases. Remember to enclose them with your fabrics in an air-tight container.
Cons
It is broken down into several other chemicals by the body and excreted in urine. Mothballs can also clothe humans.

Also dreadfully important do not use the old and the new types of mothballs together because the two different fumigating gases combine into a corrosive liquid that will literally destroy your fabrics worse than a winter of moths
