Pros & Cons
Pros
With these patches installed there's no friction at all. They are slightly spongy and very smooth / slippery so the heel slides effortlessly.
Running socks cost more, but they are so worth it in my opinion. No blisters, no break in period for new shoes/boots. They are a little awkward to put in taller boots but you cant see if it's a little crooked once your foot is in it.
Cons
These are too expensive to only last for 1 wet hike. Might be good for emergency repair on a marathon, but not much else. These are way too overpriced for the product.
The patches are already peeling away from their sticky adhesive after one day's use. My foot moves around a little, and there are bumps/indents in the heel that create a bit of pressure. Came rite off.

I have been using engo patches for over 15 years for all hiking boots hiking shoes and running shoes
Pretty much any time you have an abrasive seam or unwanted rubbing slap on an engo patch and it is magically fixed
