This is a great idea for a system but the solar charging aspect ive found lacking in anything but absolute direct sunlight it performs fairly poorly

I have two qualms1 no battery pack charging like the goal zero unit

It also helps with cable management if you want to use your device during the day as opposed to having it plugged in dont want to mess with a place to store your device while its plugged in and charging

There is a plastic cover for the hub but i didnt want to test getting it wet in case it shorted the whole unit out

This is more of a concern as worrying about the solar panels getting wet isnt something i want to do while backpacking
