An amazing story of one of our darker moments in world war ii. A real tragedy in the fog of war. It leaves me wondering what else happened under our noses, that was possibly a grave injustice.
This story begins rather slowly at first but then grabs the reader’s attention. One becomes engaged in how their lives unfold. Gripping in the portrayal of the 9 lives so intricately inter-woven.
Highlights
Quality
My new perspective created an engagement with the young men especially herbie
It does a good job in getting you to feel like you are there with the characters
This sort of thing never looks good in the finished product
Had heard of hoover’s fbi shady dealings with the case but what a miscarriage of justice and loss of a powerful antinazi statement
Competitiveness
It also shares the different perspectives from the vantage point of the accused
