Pros & Cons
Pros
The flushing is gentle for both of us. Taking 2,000 mg per day has brought down my lp(a) and aided in the lowering of my cholesterol. From my research it is the triglycerides and ldl but specifically the small dense ldl that are your trouble makers.
Highlights
Quality
Small pill easy to swallow and the low flush does not cause discomfort or feelings of being warm
These niacin pills which i take for cholesterol are easy to take and are great because they are timed release for good coverage
I tried to take regular immediate release niacin 500mg but suffered stinging flush that lasted an hour or more
My extremely able primary care md specifies this and only this as the one that actually does what it is supposed to
Price
I used to pay 60 for 90 tablets and now get 200 tablets for less than 30
Good price will buy more when i start to run out like these vitamins
Competitiveness
Since then i’ve tried other brands in comparison but the fact that it’s slow acting lessens any annoying flushing
I liked that the hospital pharmacist told my husband to keep taking it rather than replace it with their pharmacy brand
But feel better that its a purer product than others
