I know some reviews will badger this for being inaccurate, but i have not seen it. It is very close to my swiss micrometer. Very easy to read the etched markings.
I have specific use for it having to do with making oboe reeds. It's easier to figure the length by putting the base of the staple on the crossbar.

Using my brown sharp square as well as a bridge city square for checking accuracy there was no dicernible deflection along the length of the empire blade just using naked eye
