Pros

It is not made of cheap plastic and is actually quite sturdy. Got prompt credit from amazon and ordered a third one. Thank god they still made the model because it was plug and play and easy to use.

The new one is programmable, but since i work from home no need to change the temps during the day. The wiring is a little different. The temperature registers 2 degrees warmer than the old white rodgers it replaced.

I replace the exact same one that has been working for 8 years. Works flawlessly as expected. Lifespan is about 2-3 years, which could be better.

Cons

When it bot turns on the furnace or shuts it down when temperature is reached, it clicks loudly enough to wake you from a light sleep. Unit periodically shuts off when furnace in use.

Whiterodgers thermostats are all i use great product

We returned the first one ordered because the repairman found a problem with the furnace itself

The difficulty with the cheaper brands is often they will fail after a few years and failure modes can be costly
