You should just buy a longer lightning cable to avoid errors

This is for extending docks etc where it is not possible to just buy a longer standard charging cable

I used the apple 30pin to lightning connector adapter to connect to the audi ami and this to extend it to a reasonable length to reach the phone outside of the glove box

This works well for the reason i bought it which was to extend standard wired apple earbuds

I sit my phone in a holder right beside of my computer monitor so it’s not terribly obvious that i’m looking way out of line with the camera when also using my computer

I only drawback i have is that the cord of the extension is considerably larger than the earbuds’ cord and the female end of the extension where the earbuds plug in seems really big
