Speed gains were amazing the adaptor itself is well made and fits perfectly into my laptop with no issues when i assembled this unit it felt fine but when i tried to plug the sata cable onto the terminals the entire caddy slipped back into the case and i had to remove it and fit a small 1cm x 5cm piece of plastic behind the caddy to stop it moving back making this my worst purchase from amazon for years
