It has natural, stoney, earthy feel to it. It has a bit of an ikea bean can flair that i like. The bamboo base is an attached coaster.
The lid is not spill proof and is a bit of a pain, but well worth it to have a reusable cup which travels well. The only downside to the mug is that it doesn't fit in all my car cup holders. It fits in my car cupholder! Wish it was available in 16 oz ... Read More

The only complaint i have is that if you fill the mug up too close to the lid the liquid doesnt come out of the opening very well there is no secondary air vent to allow the fluid to flow better
