I bought the thermometer on the basis of the other amazon reviews but have have not had the opportunity to try it out properly other than on small pieces of cooked meat just to check that it worked and those tests were fine

I set it for rare when the alarm beeped i removed it and left it wrapped whilst roasting the veg

Nice and light to hold did have a little difficulty opening the probe due to arthritis in my fingers so just turn it off but the onoff switch and dont push the probe to far back

Excellent value for money like that it switches itself off automatically when closing the probe
